Training Camp News

Philadelphia Eagles Training Camp News 2010

There have been a few players sidelined during the training camp with muscle pulls and strains, which isn’t too unusual during training.  There Eagles Training Sessionis still time to go before the first pre-season game so the players will have time to recover in order to show the coaches and team their skills and talents.

The draft class so far has been impressive, however there are a few that are standing out, including Brandon Graham and Nate Allen. Graham has showed that he is fast off the ball and has great technique, while Allen has shown skills in communication.

The rookie getting the most attention so far though is wide receiver Riley Cooper who makes big plays and isn’t the type to back down.  Not only is he an exiting player he has the good looks to round up a huge fan base.

The number 3 Quarterback Mike Kafka has proven he has an accurate arm and is able to make good reads, while starter linebacker Akeem Jordan is keeping up with his impressive off-season game.

The players from the offensive line have a lot to prove, with Jamaal Jackson out with an ACL tear and Todd Herremans taking care of a sore foot.  Jackson may not be ready for the season, so Nick Cole and Max Jean-Guilles may have to step up.  Stacy Andrews is also recovering from a shoulder injury but will most likely be ready for the season.

Ellis Hobbs is playing well during the training camp, showing he has the speed to run to make a play.  Trevard Lindley has come a long way for a Rookie, doing well proving he has the strength to play press coverage.

Running back J.J Arrington is also suffering from a knee injury but he is still playing, he just hasn’t been able to get comfortable in the offensive system yet, so we will see if what happens at the end of training camp.

Jamar Chaney is having a great session in training camp and will surly shine during pre-season and season games.  Another one to watch for is defensive tackle Trevor Laws who is playing stronger and clearer during the camp and is definitely earning his place on this year’s roster.

The wide receiving group and the defense group as a whole are playing well during the camp, and at this point the Eagles don’t have a true fullback to look at during training.

There has been good news for quarterback Michael Vick that he will not be charged for a shooting that happened at his 30th birthday party on June 25th at a nightclub in Virginia Beach, Va., so he will not have any issues going into the season after the training camp.

The Eagles training camp is in full swing and the players work to earn their spots on the team. Only time will tell who has enough to stay with the Eagles and who will be cut.
